WE’VE SERVED OUR CUSTOMERS FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY
SpringDot was founded by Sidney Deutsch, a Hungarian immigrant who came to the U.S. in the early 1900s. Shortly thereafter, he bought his first printing press and launched what would become Sidney Printing Works. Despite an inability to read English, Sidney made a name for himself by printing calling cards using his customers’ handwritten notes.
By the mid-1970’s, our company had grown to a four-building campus in Camp Washington, where we produced materials for national brands like Procter & Gamble. While under the guidance of the third generation of Deutsch brothers, Sidney Printing Works continued to grow to include seven buildings by the early 1990s.
As the fourth generation of Deutsch family members joined our leadership, we added Internet and multimedia services in addition to traditional printing. To reflect this change, Sidney Printing Works became SpringDot.
Today, SpringDot produces print and multimedia materials out of an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing and fulfillment space. Our automated presses can produce up to 15,000 sheets per hour. SpringDot’s capabilities include several innovative products, including SpringFrame fine art pieces.
We still operate our business with the same commitment to quality and service that made Sidney Deutsch a successful entrepreneur:
